Greetings to all. Just noticed this problem under Jaguar (or error).. Under Verbose mode, I get a message about AppleCurio.KEXT and some AppleCurio4K78.KEXT Not being valid... I think 4K78 is for 10.0?? Not to sure.. Anyhow. I was lead to believe that Curio was for the SCSI- yet my SCSI works just fine.. Should I worry about this error? Not to be bothersome here- I just flip whenever something bad happens under a Verbose bootup (I managed to cleanup the extensions so I had no errors whatsoever..).. |

That's exactly correct--the AppleCurio4K78.kext is for 10.0 only. For some complex reasons, it isn't possible to make an AppleCurio extension that loads in both 10.0 and later versions of Mac OS X. So I include two. The one that doesn't load will always indicate an error. So it isn't the reason that jay's computer locks up--that must be some other problem. |
