No more startup!! |

Hi all, I wanted to upgrade to 10.2, so before I did anything I figured I would optimize my disk using DiskWarrior and OptimizerPlus. So, I started up in 9.2, and after running DW and OP, I figured I would install 10.2. However... when I tried using XPF to startup one more time back into 10.1.5 (I just wante to check my mail) instead of the usual grey apple preceding startup, now I'm getting a grey Stop sign (after briefly getting the grey apple)!! And it won't go further than that. Can anyone tell me what's wrong here? Can this be fixed or will I have to install everything from anew? Thanks for any help, Jonck |

You're right. Running Disk Warrior twice in a row would probably not fix anything extra but since you ran Plus Optimizer and/or maybe some other stuff in between then something could have got messed up after the first time. Disk Warrior is very good at what it does but things that get fixed don't necessarily stay that way and can get broken again real quick. Anyway, I'm glad I could help. |

Ok, thank god, I ran Disk Warrior again and it now starts up again! Phew, that was a close encounter... Thanks for your tip, I would have never thought that running the same program again would yield any results. By the way, I did indeed mean Plus Optimizer, my mistake. Cheers, Jonck |

Do you mean Alsofts's Plus Optimizer? Did you use the latest versions? I run Disk Warrior 2.1 all the time with my OS X volumes without problem. Maybe OP did something bad. Try Disk Warrior 2.1 again and see what happens. |
