I have a PM 9600 with G4/800/FW&USB combo/ethernet. My USB Global Village modem works on OS9.1-9.2.2. While there is a OSX modem script for USB from Zoom, I can't choose the USB modem port as an interface option because the Global Village is not recognized, nor am I sure that OSX even has a USB modem port as an option; only Ethernet and Serial is available in the modem preferences. I've considered a Airport Extreme with it's built in modem which would then hopefully interface with the PM9600 through the Ethernet port but I'm not sure it would work. What are others using to get on the Net with their legacy Mac's and Serial/Ethernet modem ports? Thanks, Marshall |

I use a Best Data 56kV90 serial modem. I used to have a USB but it quit working with 9.1. Called Best Data and was informed that they did not support over 8.6. Hope that helps |

I have an old old old Serial modem (14400 baud) which works fine from OSX, I don't normally use it for internet access (cable modem), but it works, and I use it for faxing. So any old serial modem with a proper cable (this can be tricky) will work... marty |

I use a Global Village V.92 serial modem with my Beige G3 running OS 10.2.3 with no problems what so ever. I use the universal Global Village modem script, I booted in to OS 9.2 and dragged in into the libary file of my OS 10 partition. David. |
