Can a Kanga get Firewire? Does it have Card Bus capabilities? I think my Firewire hard drive (on the J700) Is on its way out the door, it has been giving me problems (a lot!). It my go to my dads Kanga which then will get OSX. (he does not want to pay much to upgrade the thing) What is a good Firewire Hard drive for under 300$. I have heard some bad things about OWCs but that was a long time ago. any suggestions?(this would be for the J700) |

OWC's are fine. another good place is scsipro.com where they sell many bridgeboards and fw raid setups as well as cases... Pretty much all the FW cases use the Oxford 911 chip for interface, so the Power supply and the Hard Disk itself are the only thing that vary (and general bulid quality) I don't think the Kanga thing is going to happen personally... But I might be wrong, I never thought it would run OSX either !!!! Marty |
