hi all, i'm trying to install OS X 10.2 server on my 7500 w/Sonnet G4/400 upgrade card and XPF2.2.5. all goes the same as plain 10.2 Jaguar install, until the process gets to the part just before it reboots the machine a second time, giving errors: /etc/master.passwd: Not a directory sh: /etc/profile: Not a directory and i get left in single user mode with the "sh-2.05a#" prompt. i have tried commands exit and reboot with the process stopping back at the same point. the root device is of course mounted read-only, so i can't change anything. /etc exists as a file in the root directory. any workarounds? or am i better off not installing 10.2 server and should go back to plain old Jaugar? any help plz? TIA, Frank |
