10.2.8 USB-2 Alert! |

I was testing OSX 10.2.8 on a separate partition of my HD (thank God 10.2.6 is still untouched), and I just found a very disappointing issue: my USB-2 hard drive stopped working properly. Actually, the USB-2 card is still recognized, and the drive still mounts in the desktop, but the system crashes on trying to read or write any file. And it crashes beyond any help - I have to hard reset the machine. This install of 10.2.8 is tha latest, from the combo updater, and it was applied twice. Even re-installing the custom USB-2 drivers failed. So I'm sticking to 10.2.6 for the time being. |

And..............Apple is never going to fix it. Why did the release a sub-point update with new features less than 40days from 10.3 . Got to make you think they were up to something. 10.2.8 was a guinne-pig for 10.3 or they wanted to brake things so people would buy 10.3 . Got to admire how they "fixed" the bug in 10.2 so you can not hack the disc burn in 10.3. Now, how long before they "kill-off" all us bottom feeders who do not buy New Mac's every 2 years. |
