That is, in my case with un upgraded PowerMac 8500 with a 300 mhz G3 card and 416 megs RAM and using the built in video. Is there a significant speed improvement in running 10.2? Opinions--comments. Because...Putting the $129 towards a new eMac seems more sensible for me...;-) |

2 things I have learned that help the speed. 1) make sure your cache control is working. 2) Run Disk Utility and choose Repair Permissions from the First Aid screen. Good Luck Jim |

Overall I find it noticeably more sluggish, although occasionally the finder occasionally acts perkier. 9500 with a 467 MHz G4, 224 MB RAM |

It's VERY noticably quicker on my PowerMac 7500 with a 500 mhz G3 card and a gig of memory. The eMac comes with 10.2 by now. |
