OS X generally disables hardware access for the "Classic" mode. I am not sure any of the SCSI scanners work under Classic unless they have a native OS driver. My Epson 1520 works fine with classic, but I have it hooked up with a network card. If the 600 is a serial printer, I beleive you have the same trouble with no direct hardware support for "Classic" as you do with the scanner. The scanner may be supported by VueScann a third party scanner driver, that enables many scanners under OS X. The Gimp Print printer drivers work with the native "Cups" printing that is part of Jaguar and provide support for many printers that are not otherwise supported in OS X. bill |
