The NWTMXPCIEL2ESU3 card (drivers required) does allow the Drobo to show up on the computer and be used, but the Drobo dashboard can't see it and therefore cannot manage it. USB devices connected to the NWTMXPCIEL2ESU3 appear on the computer as parallel SCSI devices, and the Drobo dashboard looks for USB devices. The NWTMXPCIE2E2U3 (driverless) works perfectly with the Drobo 5D and does allow it to be seen in the Drobo dashboard.
