The following SSDs, as of February 1, 2021, have been tested by OWC and shown to be incompatible with Mac systems running macOS 10.14 'Mojave' and later regardless of how they are connected to the host computer.
The behavior of each drive can vary but in most cases the drives either will not function or they may function initially and then drop off the bus at random points. Please note OWC has verified these same drives work in applicable OWC enclosures, when connected to Windows systems that meet the minimum requirements.
In some cases an updated drive can be acquired from the manufacture. Please note: not all manufactures will support providing an updated drive to allow for Mac compatibility.
