Overall very good, but room for a little improvement.

SUMMARY: Order communication could be faster. Packaging/shipping could use improvement. Computer was in very good to excellent condition, but not "mint." Computer appears to be fully functional and custom installed part was working as ordered. Shipped with macOS 10.15 Catalina installed.
ORDERING: Ordering was fairly easy. It would have been helpful if MacSales.com communicated the estimated shipping date prior to order completion, or even within a business day after. This item was listed as "Pending" in green which was described as, "Date expected for item same day availability has been reached. Status will be updated shortly with a new ETA or same day availability status." Order was completed on March 25th at 7:39 pm. Being after business hours on a Friday, I expected it to take until Monday before my order was processed. However, I received an email invoice for my order on March 30th at 3:30 pm. Subsequent email for the extended warranty and digital download parts of my order arrived over the next half hour. Shipping label created with UPS around 6 pm that day.
SHIPPING/PACKAGING: The order arrived on April 6 (partly due to my choice of UPS Ground shipping). The shipping box was in good condition. Inside, the air-pack envelope for the computer itself would have been adequate except two opposite ends were not inflated, allowing the computer to come in almost direct contact with the sides of the box. This means a hit on either end where no air tubing was protecting the computer, could transfer impact shock directly to the computer case. The air packaging around the computer also had extra space on all sides so the air-pack and unit were sliding around inside the box. The power cord was underneath the computer, lifting it up. So, in short, there needed to be enough air-pack and/or fill to prevent sliding and contact with the physical computer body. The power cord could have been taped to one side to prevent movement.
CONDITION: MacSales.com listed this item as "Mint" condition, describing it as follows: "With these nearly pristine units, it’s a challenge to visually find imperfections." In many reseller environments, "mint" usually implies an item that looks as it did the day it came off the factory line, except that it cannot be called "New" because it has been used or at least opened. This unit arrived looking excellent, but on close inspection you could easily see or feel small nicks or minor scrapes on the edges and surfaces of the metal body. These marks were not significant enough to cause me to return the computer immediately, but I would have felt more confidence if the air-pack had been protecting all sides. Mac is a great computer

I was tired of using a Windows based computer for my movie server. This Mac Mini does the job well and I don't have the usual Windows problems. I've been a Mac users since 2015. I cut my teeth on windows based computers since 1987. I was a network administrator for a number of years. I resisted Apple computers for years, after purchasing my first Mac in 2015 I was sold. Old Mac not so good!

When I turned it on, the old mac made a sound like a garbage disposal, so I called the lovely pple at OWC, they sent me a return label via the internet. I put the old mac back into its amazing box with amazing package protection and sent that dud away. They will be sending me a refund asap and I will be purchasing a newer old mac circa 2018.
