ThunderBay 4 mini TransWarp Edition protects your essential files with a hybrid RAID 1+0 that starts with an SSD and a hard drive configured as a mirrored pair (RAID 1). Any data written to the SSD is automatically doubled on the hard drive. This pair is then configured in RAID 0 with a second SSD/HDD RAID 1 pair.
So what does that mean?
It means that your data is efficiently spread across both pairs of drives. And that accessing files happens at SSD RAID 0 speed. But because each drive pair has a level of redundancy, ThunderBay 4 mini TransWarp Edition can survive up to two disk failures while keeping your data completely intact.
