REASON software by Propellerhead is an exciting way to create compelling music with your computer. It is a "virtual rack" full of synths, samplers/sample players, loop players, mixer, sequencer and effects! You can create as many of each as your computer will allow. This software comes with a huge amount of sounds and loops so you can get started creating great tracks right away. Of course, you will need a midi keyboard to play all of the virtual synths. We recommend the M-Audio Oxygen 8 or the Edirol PCR-30. Both keyboards include a built in USB midi interface. These keyboards even have "programmable" knobs that you can assign to any parameter on the virtual synths for total creative control of your sounds. The demo track is something created in 20 minutes as the soundtrack for a Quicktime product demo. REASON also supports Rewire. Rewire is a way for two music applications to sync to each other. A popular application that one would use with REASON is LIVE by Abelton. With REASON slaved to LIVE via Rewire, any track created in REASON will show up as a track in LIVE's mixer.
