Currently the OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual (Thunderbolt 2 / USB 3.1 Gen 1) and Elite Pro Dual (USB 3.1 Gen 1 / eSATA) are not compatible with specific 8TB drives from Seagate. These drives use the manufacturer model # ST8000NM0055, part # 1RM112-102 and carry a firmware version of PN02.

If you purchased either of these OWC enclosures empty and require an 8TB drive from Seagate, please use manufacturer model # ST8000VN0002 or current equivalent instead.
