The Accelsior 8M2 will not be recognized by name when used with Windows. Instead, the Accelsior 8M2 will be seen in Windows as a Mass Storage Controller. The device listing will also be accompanied by an error icon. Accessing the properties of the Mass Storage Controller “AKA” Accelsior 8M2 will display the following error message in the Device status. “This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31). The specified request is not a valid operation for the target device.”
The Accelsior 8M2 doesn’t have a driver that displays the device name. Windows lists the device as a Mass Storage Controller due to the absent driver. Performance of the Accelsior 8M2 in Windows is NOT affected by this device error.
