Rating: 5/5 So Easy! November 14, 2013 I was worried that replacing my Mac's video card might be a difficult operation, but it took me only a couple of minutes to remove the old card, slide in the new one and plug it into the motherboard. The only skill needed was the ability to operate a screwdriver.

It works perfectly, and I can now run the latest video apps, such as Motion 5, on my old Mac.

Rating: 4/5 Works on my MacPro1,1 under Lion October 30, 2013 Unfortunately, the OWC install video doesn't show the case where the added card requires a power cable and the Apple documentation's installation instructions seem to be for later MacPro machines, so the location of the motherboard power connectors is different than on a MacPro1,1's. On my machine, the connectors are higher up and a bit more to the left than shown in the drawing. Not a big problem: if you look at the connector at the end of the cable, it's pretty easy to figure out what the corresponding connector on the motherboard looks like. I bought this card because the original NVIDIA 7300 card died. So far the new card seems to be working fine. The new card has its own fan, the old one didn't, so I was afraid that the new card would make the machine a lot louder, but I haven't noticed any significant difference.

Rating: 5/5 Highly recommended! March 12, 2013 This graphics card replaced a nVidia GeForce 8800 GT graphics card with stunning results. Text is more distinct and colors are deeper and richer. I notice as well that programs load faster and response time across the board seems to be much quicker. Installation took less than 5 minutes and was painless. This card upgrade added life expectancy to my my Mac Pro 2008 and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Rating: 4/5 A good upgrade January 29, 2013 When Adobe updated Photoshop recently my original video card was deemed under powered. The 5770 replacement has sped my PS work up nicely. Installation was easy aside from connecting the power cable to the computer board which was a little awkward.

Rating: 5/5 Best upgrade for my old Mac Pro 1,1 ever October 5, 2012 Great upgrade for my old Mac Pro 1,1 mid August. Like a new computer. Took only few minutes to install. And the performance is great. The card came in Apple original package. Now I can relax and wait for the nest generation Mc Pro. I will specially name OWC for their excellent service. If you have questions, you get reply and fast. I will certainly buy from them again.

Rating: 5/5 Great Card For The Price! June 20, 2012 I bought this card for my 2.26ghz 8-Core MacPro 2009 was tired of playing all my blizzard games on "Low" settings, I was hesitant to buy ATI since I was a Nvidia guy, Got the Cheaper 5770 Model and was blow away! The Card was easy to install and I had no Start Up problems afterward. I can now play World Of Warcraft on High Settings at 60fps and Starcraft 2 at ULTRA settings at 60FPS! If your looking to upgrade your graphics card for you Macpro I really recommend this card! It was great buy at 270 dollars!

Rating: 5/5 Best investment in an upgrade February 29, 2012 I've bought this card to get a bit more graphics speed... but the biggest nice 'side effect' of the upgrade: my MacPro runs super silent. Where before apparently 90%+ of the noise was coming from the fans of the graphics card. Now things are quiet, and and the MacPro doesn't sound anymore like an hairdryer in overdrive. Absolute pleasant plus...

Rating: 5/5 Excellent Video Card! Works Great in my Mac Pro 1,1 January 11, 2012 I wasn't sure if this video card would work properly in my Mac Pro 1,1 Desktop but according to the description it tested fine with the Mac Pro 1,1. I decided to go ahead and give it a try and it works like a charm! It was simple to install and I immediately noticed a difference in the overall speed of my system. With my hard drive, RAM, and video card upgrades from OWC my Mac Pro 1,1 Desktop is sure to last another 5 years! Great product and easy to install!

Rating: 5/5 Finally Up And Running March 31, 2011 This video card is awesome, it performs flawlessly. It took a while and help from the apple engineers to help me get it operating but now I've had enough time to relax and operate the card. It is connected to two 24 inch LCD displays and a 55 inch samsung LED 240 hz. I can run all three displays at once. Thanks to OWC and Apple I now have a system that kicks you know what! Remember ! You Need two Mini Display port to Dual Link DVI Adaptors for the lcd displays and I also used 1, DVI to HDMI Adaptor for the Samsung

Rating: 4/5 Works as well as the X1900 it replaced, but still ... February 20, 2011 My Mac Pro 2,1 was vulnerable to display problems with the original card, which would sometimes fade to gray streaks or look like it was behind a dusty screen door. I hoped that this unit would have better cooling to prevent that. Unfortunately, when the room gets above the mid-70s, the CPUs, memory and this unit generate enough heat to cause the same problem. This wasn't as much of a problem when I lived in Seattle, but now that I'm in Florida ... . You get the point.
