The difference between it and this new (refurbished) one is night and day. I've bought two things from MacSales so far: an external hard drive and this refurbished keyboard. Both have turned out to be excellent products at a reasonable price. A great company given my experience so far.

I've been wanting an external keyboard, and it seemed to make sense to get this one. I love the design, and I think it will fit nicely in my bag. The layout is exactly the same as my 2012 Macbook Air. So I can use either one with no learning curve to worry about. Both keyboards have the same feel, with the same key travel distance. The keyboard was packaged very nicely and it arrived sooner than expected. My shopping experience was smooth and easy, and the low price made it all the better. I knew it wouldn't come with bluetooth pairing instructions, but they were easy to find with a quick search online. I popped in some batteries and tested it within minutes with my iphone and my macbook. Works perfectly.

Rating: 5/5 This is the one to get! November 7, 2016 Received the keyboard quickly and other than the non-brand packaging it appeared brand new! All the keys worked perfectly and had ZERO signs of wear, and there wasn't a single scratch anywhere.

For half the price of new plus a couple of batteries (not included) this deal is as good as it gets. I researched plenty of other "deals" on Apple keyboards and it seemed there's many of dissatisfied people having bought "refurbished" keyboards from other vendors. I always check recent feedback.

If you can get it here and it's marked "excellent condition" I recommend you go for it. It may not be the absolute cheapest option but the few extra bucks will be well worth it. This truly is a deal on an Apple product...and how often can we say that?

I did have a problem at first because I couldn't find the power key. It is not marked on the keyboard and no information was included with the item indicating how to turn it on. I finally went to the Apple support website and learned that the the power button is on the opposite end of the keyboard from the battery chamber and looks just like the battery compartment cover. I like the feel of this keyboard and am very pleased with its performance.

Rating: 5/5 Good as new September 12, 2016 I wanted a keyboard that would take less space on the desk. Chose the wireless option and am glad I did. The used model is in perfect condition; if it's used, it's been cleaned/detailed to perfection. The only slight downside with the used model is that it doesn't come with instructions for pairing, but I found that info quickly online. I use this with a MacBook Pro and an external monitor, with the MacBook lid closed; I'm happy to report that the Bluetooth keyboard will awaken the closed, sleeping computer.
