The Apple Airport Extreme card worked perfectly in my 2008 Mac Pro (3,1). The WiFi card allowed me to move it out of the office (wired) and into the basement as a general purpose file server, wirelessly. My only complaint is this kit seems to require the 2 installation screws, which in turn required me to get the kit, which includes yet another OWC set of tools. I believe I own at least 5 of these essential OWC tool kits after various upgrades over the years. Regardless, the Airport Extreme card worked perfectly after I determined precisely how to install it with the antennae cables via a YouTube video.
