MacMini arrived in good condition, as advertised. The OS installed was apparently too new and computer was very sluggish. I ended up installing an older version that improved the performance. Would not display on monitor

It boots up just fine, the issue is when you come to the HDMI to the monitor the os never populates on screen and remains black. Mac mini in like new condition

I visited OWC to buy a battery for a MBPro. After finding one I looked around and bought my first Mac mini. It was on sale. I replaced the HDD with an SSD and loaded Catalina first then used Open Core legacy patcher to install Sequoia.

Under powered and virtually useless

The purchase process was perfectly reasonable and the product arises as advertised. Unfortunately, maybe I had not done sufficient research, but the performance of the device was so slow as to render it unusable. I only wanted the unit to stream TV, and I felt sure that it would be good as I have another, older Mac mini that serves this purpose for a different TV. It took this mini over 3 minutes to boot up, and opening Chrome took another minute. Any other action took an equally unacceptable time. We returned the unit, at our expense, so ended up well out of pocket and had to buy a different device from elsewhere. I very deeply regret buying this Mac mini. It’s exactly as advertised but damn is it bad. I had trouble getting it to run anything. Eventually figured I could at least turn it into a simple Proxmox server and even that is too much to ask of it. I’m sure someone has a use for it out there but I couldn’t imagine what that would be.
