Rating: 4/5 A little elbow grease to Catalina, great buy. September 6, 2021 Be sure to also buy a Thunderbolt 2 cable from OWC. Also DO NOT format the SSD as AFP (at first), let the Catalina installer “convert” it. Then plug in your old Mac (mine was an i5 2012), migration took just over an hour instead of 8x as long. Downside of this Mac is Tim Cook made them *much* harder to get into plus soldered RAM, so consider maxing out what you need. For an i7 this rig runs cooler than I thought it would.
