Very pleased with this purchase, despite some unnecessary complicated customs delay (shipping outside U.S.). Some minor cosmetic wear & tear on the machine. OWC upgrade to 2 TB SSD (although I did not know it would be a PCI-Ex disk......which however means I can use one of my "old" SSDs and add even more storage). Upgraded OS to 11.6, performance is still excellent, perfectly sufficient for a few years to come (or at least until Apple drops Intel support completely)

But what we have now experienced is beyond imagination: We ordered an iMac for our office in Amman (Jordan), which then also arrived after three weeks. What nobody told us: The iMac has no keyboard and no mouse! An iMac without a keyboard and mouse is like a car without wheels. If you sell an iMac, you should sell it completely. According to Apple, an iMac is only "complete" with keyboard and mouse. This is a total customer screw-up - we also made a phone call. The audacity and impudence of the "customer service" cannot be described. He referred to the product description of the offer. After consulting with Apple, we will now have this matter clarified in court and have first reduced the invoice.

Rating: 5/5 Great Experience! June 5, 2020 I ordered a refurbished 27' 5k iMac a few months ago from OWC/MacSales. It has been working great! The price was probably half of what I would have paid had I purchased new, plus I was able to max out the RAM and SSD storage to get exactly what I wanted. Because computer performance and software has largely stabilized, it is no longer necessary to have the newest computer on the market to have great performance. In fact, I get better performance from my OWC refurb iMac (because I was able to max out the specs), than I would have if I had compromised and ordered the latest from Apple with fewer options. March 23, 2020 New iMacs and the Catalina OS were not appealing to me because I enjoy and find important a couple of 32 bit software programs.With delayed deliveries of parts and completed machines occurring early in the pandemic, I decided to look at an OWC spec'ed iMac and the 2017 with some desirable added memory and storage was just the ticket. Ordering online was simplicity itself and the machine arrived safely and has performed flawlessly. The Parallels bundle was a good deal, too, so the iMac runs a speedy WIn10, too.

I liked the fact that I was able to customize my new machine, and purchased this model with 32 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD. The machine is silent, powerful enough (3.8 mHz) to run X-Plane effortlessly. With 32 GB RAM and a Fusion Drive, it's like everything is in RAM already. Click an app and it's on the screen instantly. Tap the space bar and it wakes up instantly. The rechargeable keyboard & mouse are so nice. One charge lasts weeks. No more buying batteries! (Note: The reason the mouse can't be used while charging is that if it was plugged in while in use, the electric cord would get bent back and forth so much it would break.) We love this machine. ??
