Uncomplicated Keyboard

So easy to use vs. wireless keyboards. No batteries and no recharging hassles. I put my Matis keyboard in storage as backup. It had it's problems with recharging and the time it takes to not have a keyboard is not worth messing with wireless keyboards. I would recommend this item to a friend! I just had to have another wired keyboard with numeric keypad.

For several years I was stuck having to buy wireless third party keyboards to use with my older iMacs, because my keyboards had worn out. I simply do not like wireless anything; they seem to be futtzier and subject to signal interference. I'm 76 years old and have become a little cantankerous with what I really like. I've also been retired for sixteen years and have been busier than I ever was at a day job. I've ben an editor for 40 yours and I haven't even slowed down. I rely on my computers and accessories. I've been using computers (from the mainframes of the 1960s, to every iteration in between, up to the present day) and I have always been a first adapter for my home office set up.

The Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad.

I find this to be the best keyboard for a Mac that doesn't have an inbuilt keyboard. System Preferences allows one to set various capabilities to suit one's preferences e.g. speed of Key Repeat, Delay Until Repeat, automatic or not spelling correction, Canadian, British, US, Australian and nineteen languages; and to set one's Input Source to ABC, British or Canadian English. Further, one can set to use Dictation whenever one starts to type text.

Mostly good but the spacebar doesn't respond like onmy old keyboard

Iamnot going toedit any typos in this post just so you cansee what Imean. I haveanother keyboard identical tothismodelthat Ihaveusedforabout 4 years now. I am not amaster typist but Icertainly haven't had anywhere near this number of missed spaces when using that keyboard (you probably wouldn't have seen a single one in this entire post). Maybe I just got used to amore sensitive spacebar and don't mash down on this one enough. The result is this one is really toughfor me touse. Iend up typing a paragraph and then having to go in and spend a minute entering a bunch of spaces. It isn't even as ifit wasthe q key I hardly ever use. The end result is I am consideringaskingfor a refund on this. Unfortunately it was the last one OWC had. I'll give it another day but if it's the samethen Iwill likely exercise the 90 day warranty. Seems to work well. Enjoying having a numeric keypad available again. (Didn't have one on the laptop I use.) The one shortcoming I've noticed is that the nibs on the home keys are not noticeable to my somewhat insensitive fingers. I would recommend this item to a friend! Lots better than the wireless

Was using the small wireless keyboard, really missed the larger keyboard with the number keypad, so when I saw this one I jumped on it.
Works great, I like the tactile feel of the keys, it is wired so it takes up a USB port on the computer, but makes up for that as it also has two USB ports one on each side.

Solid, classic keyboard

I went with the apple 'magic' wireless bluetooth keyboard for years, simply because it was the new thing and all the wireless devices were being pushed upon us. Although that keyboard makes a smaller footprint on your desk, it was disappointing not having the full size numeric keypad, and to be honest, the apple keyboard models have been getting cheaper and cheaper each year. I was always annoyed with the performance, and missed the regular keys from the old model I was previously using. The 'feel' of the keys was just not there. With this wired keyboard model, no more getting surprised with the battery life notification, ALWAYS in the middle of a task. This wired solution eliminates so many problems. This is the classic design - glad I got this before they stopped making them. I got a great deal on this at OWC too, so very pleased with that! I would recommend this item to a friend!
