That’s a biggie … but otherwise, it pairs easily and works well with my older mid-2012 MacBook Pro and operating system. (El Capitan 10.11.6)

Rating: 4/5 Thrifty replacement for original January 9, 2018 The Magic Mouse that originally came with my mid-2011 iMac has always suffered from short battery life. Type of battery (rechargeable or alkaline) and size (how much of the + tip made contact inside the mouse) and brand of battery did not matter much. I finally ordered this used replacement. Average battery life increased dramatically, from a week or so to nearly a month, using the same batteries as before. Guess my original Magic Mouse was just hungry and inefficient.

Rating: 5/5 Magic Mouse 2 December 10, 2017 The Magic Mouse 2 replaced the wired mouse that came with the full size keyboard. It arrived well packed, and was in good condition. Upon installing two fresh AA batteries, and switching it on, it showed that it would work as soon as the wireless connection was made. I had to connect the replacement wireless keyboard I had bought at the same time for the mouse to function properly. The mouse functioned well and only took a few tries to get use to difference between the wired mouse and the magic mouse 2. Page swiping was one of the differences. Not having a scroll wheel was another. If you know the finger swiping moves for an I-Pod, you will have no problem with this mouse.

Rating: 3/5 Not bad, not great April 30, 2017 I'll start with my main complaint, which is just how easily it scrolls--way too easily such that I'm all over the page before I know what happened. Then I'm back to searching for the cursor across two screens. That was two stars off right there.I want it to scroll, of course, but not every part of the top of the mouse. And it seems as though almost the entire top surface of the mouse IS active.

Otherwise, this mouse is probably a bit better that what I've used previously. Left and right clicks work well and every time with Bluetooth. I DO wish that it came with rechargeable batteries. Everything electronic should.

I LOVE that we do NOT have to pay Apple's bodacious "retail" for 'em - OWC is soooo much better! AND - OWC backs its products, mondo-well: E.g., when I ordered this most recent Apple Magic Mouse from them, the one that arrived actually didn't work. Called 'em; they sent me a prepaid return-shipment label, and instantly sent a new replacement.

Delightfully, OWC did NOT require that they receive the defective unit before shipping its replacement (which, of course, works perfectly!). [O' course, if they had NOT received the returned unit within a coupla weeks, then they WOULD have charged me for the "second" mouse - appropriately so.]

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with it and it works beautifully and makes using my Mac so much easier and COMFORTABLE.
