I have two 2009 MacBook Pros that stopped booting. Thought it was the Power Supply, but the best I got was the sound of an Apple computer starting to boot yhen it stops. I guess these guys sre dead, but I will still need the power dupplies in case I get another old MacNook Pro for my VTrack app which creates video with up to 8 layers! Thanks for the Power Supplies, but now I need an old MacBook Pro running Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
