Rating: 4/5 A good deal, delivered promptly... but this unit came with Apple's poor-design remote December 17, 2021 This was an excellent deal, because the 1st-Gen AppleTV remains highly capable, with few differences from the 2nd Gen product, and because this sale unit included the larger 64GB memory module. But the unit also came with Apple's poor-design first generation remote control stick, and I felt OWC was not explicit about the remote in its online promotion. (In fairness, the unit was sold as "first gen" and the small photos accompanying the product revealed the old remote style if you looked very carefully, though the description referred only to "Apple Remote," without specifying which one.) I'm pleased with the purchase, as well as with OWC's prompt delivery. Just disappointed that the reason for the sale price turned out to be the unhappy remote.

Can't make the cursor go where I want it with the thumb scroller. Can't talk to Siri. When I press the mike button, the cursor jumps to a different program and it doesn't beep when I hold the button down. Accidentally ordered two shows I didn't want, cancelled immediately, but got billed for them anyway. Can't find a way to turn on closed captions.
