Replacing my existing MacBook

I've had the same MacBook since getting it new. It needed a new battery and has a few other issues, and I didn't have the cash for a new one. So, getting the same model was a good choice. I chose the computer that was reported to be in the best condition among the ones in the store. I wasn't disappointed. I just popped in my original hard drive and so far - everything is great. Great! Better than I could have hoped!

I got a used 2013 15" MacBook for my wife and honestly I was skeptical about doing it since I have only ever bough new Macs. I was afraid I would be getting a lemon or something fraught with problems. But I was relieved to find that the laptop works perfectly! Yes, there are some minor cosmetic defects and blemishes on the outer shell (I got one in “good condition”), but they are all easily ignorable. I opted for a few modest upgrades like maxed out RAM (16GB) and more HD space (512GB SSD) just to maybe compensate for its older age. I’m happy to say the laptop works like a dream. It seems that MacSales does indeed go through each piece of equipment and makes sure everything is in good working order. I suspect the trackpad was replaced and maybe even the keyboard and screen because they look flawless and the trackpad and keys have a nice springiness to them, like new. In fact, it was such a good experience overall that the very next week I got a used 2014 13" MacBook for myself! And that too has been great so far! I am very impressed by the quality of our two “used” MacBooks!

Initially, there were some glitches in the delivery of a working product and in communication with customer service. Those problems were eventually overcome and MacSales lived up to their end of the bargain, as they had in previous dealings with them. The computer is now functioning as expected and I am very happy with it. The four star rating is due to the problems encountered, and eventually overcome. A great used MacBook Pro, looks like brand new

Bought and configured a 15" MacBook Pro in mid Nov. made about late 2015 and said to be in very good condition. It arrived so new looking I could not tell from new. Not a scratch or nick anywhere. The battery had only one cycle as well! The screen was perfect with absolutely no glare film peeling common to this model. Works perfectly. Great price on an excellent laptop!

I do a lot of freelance video and graphic content creation. Everything I do runs on one of my Macs. My old 2009 Mac Book Pro's dual processors were just not enough to handle some of today's demand. I was able to upgrade to a quad core MBP for about half of what I was pricing in a new Mac from Apple. The laptop arrived in excellent shape. No scratches or other cosmetic blemishes. It's extremely fast and meets all of my needs. It's a 10,1 with 16 GB of memory. The half gig SSD is extremely fast making for a great laptop that I expect to fulfill my needs for some time. OWC Service was excellent. Shipping was fast. When I decide my Mac Pro desktop needs upgrading I will look to OWC for the replacement. I would recommend this item to a friend!
