The DIR-817LW Wireless AC750 Dual Band Cloud Router gives you fast Wi-Fi speeds of up to 750 Mbps and increased range. It also uses dual band wireless, allowing you to operate two concurrent, high-speed Wi-Fi bands for ultimate wireless performance. Surf the web, chat, and play online games on the 2.4 GHz band, while simultaneously streaming digital media on the 5 GHz band. What's more, each band can operate as a separate Wi-Fi network, giving you the ability to customize your network according to your connectivity needs. You can even configure a guest zone to give visitors Internet access without giving them access to the rest of your network.

Sharing your Internet connection doesn't have to be a complicated process – just open a web browser to access the setup wizard and follow the easy step-by-step instructions to get started. Implement WPA/WPA2 wireless security in minutes with the wireless network setup wizard or use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), which establishes a secure connection to new devices without the need to enter settings or create passwords. Gets the job done

The web interface is not easy to use. The unit also has required more power cycles than any router I have previously owned. However, at the end of the day, it does get the job done.

Great Router, great speed, glad I bought it!

Switched ISP's recently. New ISP would have sold a router (unknown configuration) for around $70.00 CANADIAN ($53.00 USD) but they then discouraged this and recommended to by my own elsewhere. So, I did. Am very glad I did. The unit is made of thin plastic (what isn't these days) but otherwise, it seems to work just fine. Can successfully reach all areas of the 3000 square foot house. Very impressed. As with all of my dealings with OWC, another smooth, pleasant transaction. I would recommend this item to a friend! Feature packed wifi router!

Small, (and a bit too light), router that is loaded with "top end" features. Signal strength is spotty at times, and my Macbook Pro, iPad, and an older iPhone 4 all drop the network occasionally. The D-link support tech suggested I needed a "public" ip address to avoid this issue. Being as I will not be using this router for a web cam or other "controllable" device, I have opted to save the $5 a month my provider charges for the public ip address. I do not stream movies, or partake in internet gaming. The router is really used for email, and social media. For the most part, it does that pretty well.
OWC did a great job of providing this router at a fair price. I would have been disappointed if I had paid full retail.
I would recommend this item to a friend!
