Good quality captures (mostly), easy software

Using this to capture hours and hours of 1/2 hour interview shows from old DVCam videotapes. The quality is fine for the interviews, the only time I can see an issue is with some footage of water that is in the opening of each tape. That doesn't compress very well but I don't care as it's only a few seconds and that's not what is important to archive. We could capture thru FireWire with an editing program but the Elgato method is easy and one step to the result we want which is h264 files not DV or ProRes.

I would recommend this product to a friend!
