The Easiest Way To Access Data From ANY 2.5" or 3.5" Serial ATA (SATA) Hard Drive Up To 2.0TB!
Boot and Swap drives at will!
Whether you're on a data recovery mission or just want to check the contents of an older swapped out hard drive, NewerTech Voyager is the easiest, most convenient way to access data from any Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive.

Just insert any standard 2.5" or 3.5" SATA I/II hard drive with up to 2.0TB capacity into the compact docking base and select one of the four interfaces supported by your Mac® or PC for the fastest data transfer performance. Then, start reading and/or writing data to the docked hard drive. There's nothing else to install or configure!
Saves Time & Money
With its Plug and Play design, the NewerTech Voyager saves you the time of installing a hard drive into a computer or the cost of an external enclosure. Now you can think of bare SATA drives with the same convenience and instant access benefits as flash memory cards…but with huge gains in storage capacity!
Hot-Swap Ready
Have multiple hard drives you need to access? No problem, NewerTech Voyager's unique design makes hot-swapping SATA hard drives a breeze*. When finished using your drive, simply pull up on it or use the eject lever for 3.5" drives for quick and effortless removal.
Ideal Solution For Photographers & Videographers
Instead of needing multiple enclosures and power supplies for every archived hard drive, NewerTech Voyager makes accessing your valuable hard data a breeze. Just slide in your hard drive, find the desired image or clip, and then return the hard drive to your storage safe.
Truly Plug and Play
With all supported interface connector cables included, an auto-switching power supply for worldwide compatibility, and flexible operating system compatibility, the NewerTech Voyager can travel your data universe with ease.

Rating: 5/5 Amazing Product... August 20, 2016 I have purchased several of these to simplify the process of swapping external hard drives. It saves money by allowing me to buy raw hard drives, rather than external hard drives in expensive cases with bridge boards and their own power supplies, etc.... It works more reliably as well... Highly recommended

Rating: 5/5 Fast and easy to use February 14, 2016 Love this product. I have used the previous version (FireWire 800) and is still working great. Needed a second unit for the computers that do not have firewire.

Rating: 5/5 Still going strong after 6 years January 23, 2016 I bought the Voyager Q docking solution for a Retrospect backup solution at work back in February of 2010. (I can't recommend Retrospect, but it does what we need it to for quick recovery). I also use the device to restore images to our set of MacBooks and other Macs at the school where I work. The quad interface allows me lots of flexibility for different devices. Not much can go wrong with a device like this, but neither should it. And this device exactly meets my expectations (kind of hard to exceed them since it is just a drive docking solution). Drives seat nicely and easily. Clear buttons, and very useful selection of interfaces for all manner of uses and ages of devices. .

Rating: 5/5 simply great ! December 29, 2011 people should have more than 1 backup hard drive at least 1 for offsite

rather than play with several external hard drives, just buy this unit and use any 2.5" or 3.5" SATA HD for backup, data x-fer, clone, etc.

I was very pleased that it came with all necessary cables

I recommend this to all my clients

I call it the hard drive 'toaster'

Rating: 4/5 Works as advertised. October 16, 2011 It does work as advertised, but must be connected directly to the computer, not as part of a daisy-chain.

Also, other external drives connected to the "Q" won't show up on the desk top either.

I have 3 Fantom external drives: 120GB, 1TB, 2TB, and am able to daisy-chain all of them, but the "Q" won't join the party.

It's a minor inconvenience, but as is it "only" gets 4 stars.

Rating: 5/5 Turn your spare internal drives into USB sticks September 26, 2011 I upgraded from a 1st gen Mac Pro tower to an Imac, was used to having a lot of storage online and being able to insert different drives into the bays for SuperDuping for onsite and off site back-up. This is a great solution for keeping my workflow similar while moving to the single drive Imac. Using for 2 months, no problems.

Rating: 5/5 Works great, but only up to 3 GB/sec August 8, 2011 I have two of them both connected to my MacPro by a NewerTech eSATA PCIe card. They work as advertised. But this unit only goes to eSATA II, up to 3 Gb/sec whereas the newer units are eSATA III, up to 6 Gb/sec. You also need to insert the drive and turn the unit on before booting the Mac, otherwise it "defaults" to 1.5 Gb/sec (not documented, but was so advised by Tech Support). It will do wonderfully with 2TB drives up to eSATA-II speeds (3 GB/sec) and works great with FW800.

I just wish I had waited! I almost hope that one dies outside of warranty so I can justify getting one of the newer models.

One unit went bad under the warranty and was promptly, efficiently and courteously replaced (typical SUPERIOR OWC service!).

Rating: 5/5 Best Hard Drive Dock! February 17, 2011 The Voyager-Q Hard Drive Dock is the best dock on the market. It is sturdy, strong, and fully featured. We are consultants in visual effects, and production, and this is the only dock that we recommend to our customers. We use them on set, and in post for data transfer, backup and archiving. These are the perfect solution for the "tapeless workflow". We have also tested the Voyager-Q running long-term nightly incremental backups, and we have had no issues. The only problem is that you will need a hudzee for the hard drive when you are done.

*Use of eSATA interface requires system reboot in order to recognize hard drive

NOTE: Voyager only accepts SATA interface drives (show connnector) If you have IDE/ATA interface
drives (show IDE), we recommend the NewerTech USB Universal Drive Adapters.
