Needed a Firewire 800 cable to connect my HDX external drive. This cable works perfectly. I use the external drive to store and work directly from with Pro Tools 12, so it needs to preform to the max speed it's capable of. I have zero issues streaming and working with large files both writting and reading and have not experienced any issues. Including working with multiple tracks streaming at once..ie. 16 different tracks playing while writting (recording) another..highly recomend this cable if you need a FW 800 cable..and the service from OWC is tops..easy to find, fast check out and fast shipping too. Great experience as always with OWC.
