Rating: 5/5 Not as hard as I expected August 11, 2018 The video instructions make it very simple, step-by-step.

It does not take long to do, but the battery calibration procedure will take the machine out of use for quite a few hours. After I had installed and charged the new battery, my wife used the computer until bedtime, following the instructions to turn off all power savers and leave it running. When I checked it next morning, it was still running nearly 9 hrs later!! It did shut off after about 15 min' use, but had to 'rest' in that state 5 hrs for calibration.

As for procedure, no two people think alike; I would have appreciated a more up-front notice to pay attention to different screw lengths, and which went where. The info was presented on re-assembly, but a little after-the-fact for my liking.

Other than that, no worries - it went very smoothly. The adhesive remover worked well; took only a little bit. (Now, where can I use the remainder?)

Best part is I that having fixed the battery, I became my wife's hero... for the moment. ; >)

Rating: 4/5 Works well August 10, 2018 I replaced the battery in my 15" retina macbook pro 10,1. The replacement procedure is time-consuming and not for the faint of heart, but the video instructions are perfect. Went exactly as shown on the video with no surprises. Be sure to keep track of which screws go with which parts. Parts don't go back in exactly the same order as they come out.

When the laptop was new the battery worked for 5-6 hours and had gone down to 2-3 hours with a "Service Battery" warning. The new battery lasts 4-5 hours, so much better but not quite good as new. The service battery warning is gone. No problem with the laptop accepting the new battery.

Rating: 5/5 MacbookPro late 2013 replacement battery August 10, 2018 Came exactly as described -came quickly and packed with perfection- with everything necessary to remove the old and install the new (already had the old battery out so I didn't actually need the removal stuff, but it's there if you need). It's been a couple weeks and the battery actually seems to last longer than the original.

Rating: 5/5 Easier than expected... August 9, 2018 ...the difficulty rating had me a little hesitant to take on this project; but now having done it, I found it quite easy. The only tricky part is removing the glue from the battery, and it was not that hard if you've used solvents before. Kit came complete with everything you need. More solvent than you can use.

Rating: 5/5 Excellent battery replacement and video instructions July 26, 2018 This battery replacement is listed as "difficult" but OWC makes it as easy as possible with including all the tools, safety gear and battery. It took me about 30 minutes and I was taking my time. This is an EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED kit.

As usual, the video production showing clear, step-by-step instructions is easy to pause, complete the step and continue. It is paced perfectly.

I will share a story of what a Mac battery for this laptop will cost. I was first told that the whole back part would have to be replaced and was quoted $350-500!!! The local authorized Apple shop would not touch it because o the adhesive and had to adhere to Apple's replace the top rule.

This battery replacement was my only viable choice, or replace the computer for a cheaper macbook.

Concerning the adhesive... my battery barely needed any solvent to remove it. Use as little as possible.

Thanks OWC. I appreciate the thoughtful and well-designed (and supported) upgrades that nobody else is making. You guys rock!
