This is a VG batery to Excellent. remember to reset the computer for the new battery and then it will show the new battery that you just installed and it's capacity. It takes 6 to 8 hours to run down to nothing, and that is with mininal usage, reading emails and the internet. (closer to 8 hours) life span is??? The cheap 35.00 ones at other large warehouses last 2 years. So i wanted to try this more pricey one.

This is the third time I've replaced the battery in my old 2010 MacBook Pro. You'd think I'd learn to take it off the charger and run down every now and then so it wouldn't blow up, but no... Anyway, the new battery was straightforward to replace. All necessary tools (and then some) were included. The online instruction were clear. Basically, it'd be hard for the experience to be better. The laptop doesn't have much useful life left, given the obsolete OS, but maybe Linux will give it another decade?
