Customer Reviews
Large, fast, on-line RAID (I use RAID 1) storage/backup is a must for anyone who has critical files in large quantities. Until now, 3 TB x 2 has been more than adequate - I now use 6 x 2 - but the principle is the same. ONE of my multiple TM back-ups is on this RAID as well as Terabytes of video archives which I care not to lose. If you're serious about in-house back-up, I strongly recommend the Guardian MAXimus.

I've been using the MAXimus RAID-1 for close to three years now as a repository for video and photo files, and it never fails to function. I work on 2010 Mac Pro tower that has been totally rebuilt, so I still have Firewire connections (and several older Firewire external enclosures), so that is convenient. I've never had much luck with the eSATA connection, but I think that is a function of the computer, not the drive. USB 3.0 is plenty fast for my purposes. The multiple interfaces are a major appeal, especially if you have equipment spanning many years, as I do. The MAXimus is fast, quiet and reliable. It even looks good. One of my better purchases.
