Rating: 5/5 Make sure of what size gets ordered. July 7, 2022 I've been using one of these for a few years. It's finally showing some wear, but it's worked great and kept me from damaging the phone on many occasions. I like it so much, I ordered another one. The downside is that for an iPhone 7 or 8, the only color available is red. Below the color selection are options for black and blue, but those are only for a 7 or 8 plus, making it too easy to order the wrong item. There is no reason to have that selection on the page for the smaller versions of the phone, since the larger cases are absolutely useless. Now I have to go thru the hassle and extra expense of getting the right item.

Rating: 4/5 Simple Case July 4, 2020 I like this case because it is simple and does what you expect a case to do - prevent your phone from being ruined when accidentially dropped or bumped. It's relatively light-weight and also has friction that makes it harder for the phone to slip from your hand. It is easy to remove the phone for cleaning and doesn't impact the haptic touch drastically.

It ruins that sleek iPhone look, is not waterproof and I haven't been able to test whether it works with a wireless charger but those are small prices to pay for a reliable/relatively cheap case.

Rating: 4/5 Solid case but designed for metal case iPhone 7/+ December 29, 2017 Case installed on iPhone 8 Plus PRO: KX case is a solid case that provides good protection. Textured sides provide a no slip grip so you are not likely to drop the phone while holding it. Volume controls easy to adjust with case on. Easy to put the case on/off. Foam lining should provide good shock protection. CONS: Sleep button is hard to push in. I find I have to push multiple times to activate sleep. The opening on the back of the case that shows the Apple logo is not aligned with the iPhone 8+. It cuts off the bottom of the Apple logo. The opening itself is a dust and dirt magnet. The opening should have been removed for the iPhone 8/Plus with its glass back. If something were to strike the glass through the opening, a shattered back and expensive repair would result. With the iPhone 7 /+ you would just have a dent on the metal case.

OWC/Newertech should have redesigned the case specifically to take into account the glass case of the iPhone 8+ like they did for the iPhone X. The KX case for the iPhone X does not have an opening on the back of the case that would expose it to potential damage from an impact or scratches from dirt accumulating in the opening.

Bottom Line: Case works with the iPhone 8+ but was designed for the iPhone 7+
