But you have to hear the "click" sound. Just apply a reasonable force in fitting it. So far everything is going well with the iMac.

Even Apple suggested I buy 3rd party RAM to save money, so for a little more than Apple would have charged for one RAM stick, I jumped to 16 GB with an OWC kit of 4 matched RAM sticks. Rating: 5/5 Perfect Solution for My Windows Virtual Machine Slow-Down Issues June 29, 2015 I upgraded the memory on my iMac (3.6GHz Intel Core i5) and it fully resolved slowness issues I was having running a Windows virtual machine on my iMac. With the memory that came with my iMac (2x2GB), I would have to wait up to 10 minutes for an Excel file to open up. Often, Windows doing updates would make the rest of my iMac almost unusable (very, very slow).
