- Temperature reporting is currently an unsupported feature because due to the operating characteristics of SSDs, it is highly unlikely one would ever exceed an OWC Mercury SSD's stated operating temperature ceiling of 158F/70C. NewTech AdaptaDrive 2.5 to 3.5 inch Converter Bracket
The adapters work as advertised- I was able to adapt to my Mercury Elite-AL Pro Qx2 with the supplied screws, but I had to use smaller screws of my own for the ThunderBay 4, as the screws supplies were too big for the SSD Crucial BX 200 drives. The screws were fine for HDD drives, but too big for SSD's; the larger screws supplied would not screw completely though the holes in the adapter. Once I made the necessary modification, everything worked great. A small quibble, but IMHO the smaller screws should be supplied as well.
