I purchased a 5-pack of the OWC Cling-On USB-C Connector Securing Devices to make sure the cable connections on the Thunderbolt Hub and on the ThunderBay 4 RAID enclosure stay put and do not work themselves loose. The fit between the USB-C / Thunderbolt 4 connectors and the Cling-On is very tight. I found it best to work the end of the cable thru the Cling-On so the cable connector sits 1/4" to 1/2" beyond the mounting surface of the Cling-On, then at that point peeling off the protective paper off the adhesive the Cling-On, inserting the connector into the port on the dock or device, then while holding the cable in place, working the Cling-On forward toward the dock, where it sticks in place, then install the securing screw through the cling-on into the dock.

I kept kicking my RAID box Thunderbolt cables and they’d wiggle and disconnect from my Mac. These stopped that from ever happening again permanently!!! Love them

This works perfectly on the OWC devices that it is designed for, as long as there is sufficient clearance around the connector and ideally there is a screw hole to accept the support screw. In amy devices, these conditions are not there, so in such cases, the reinforcements are not useful.
