- Please note that compatible AKiTiO or OWC enclosures that utilize a PCIe slot may require their own minimum hardware and OS operating requirements which may differ from the Accelsior 1M2. The minimum system requirements for both the Accelsior 1M2 and enclosure must be met in order for both to operate.
- Booting support requires that your motherboard BIOS support booting via NVMe PCIe drives. Booting on Mac Pro (2010 - 2012) requires macOS 10.14.6.

At first I did not know how it worked. I did not realize that the 1 TB card was part of this item so I thought I needed to order a 1TB card. I did then I realized I did not need it and I had to return this to you. Other wise it works great.

I bought two of those for my 2019 Mac Pro (MacPro7,1). One, crucially, was for the installation of Windows, which is always a cumbersome and dicey proposition on all Apple hardware at the best of times. The OWC Accelsior has facilitated the job beautifully: Windows Setup had no problem with Accelsior, and Windows 11 boots up — and runs — from the PCIe NVMe SSD perfectly. I wholeheartedly recommend the product: It is decidedly solid and a good value for money.
