Finally, I’m up and runni
The first enclosure I received wouldn’t detect the Thunderbolt 2 connection. After executing an RMA, I now have a fully functioning unit with 4 Toshiba MG-08 Series 8TB Data center drives installed. All four drives spun up and the cooling fan came on like it should with a properly detected Thunderbolt 2 bus connection. Currently waiting for drive certification to finish. All four are running concurrently, but 8TB is still going to take awhile. A RAID 1+0 running on a TB2 bus fully protects my data and should still be wicked fast. This is where my media and photo libraries are going after I was burned by a hardware RAID solution.

I first bought a drive bay that was pre-configured. Didnt like the configuration that was sent. This purchase however allowed me to do it myself. The thunderbolt connection is also the perfect solution. Speed is no longer an issue. Love it! I Just bought a fourth drive to fill the last slot. I hope to use this box for years to come. OWC never fails I'm life long customer,
