Compatible with any Mac or PC with a Thunderbolt 3 port. They're bus powered and come with an integrated Thunderbolt 3 cable - so all you need to do is plug in your monitors. Perfect for adding extra screen space to your laptop workflow, increasing productivity, setting up a powerful desktop workstation with the monitors you already have, or immersing yourself in a rich gaming experience.

Adapter and Cable Support

  • NOTE: The quality of cables and adapters used with this product can have a real impact on performance. Use of low quality cables and adapters can result in flickering or poor performance with connected displays. Use the cables that came with your display or if necessary, cables and adapters from high quality reputable brands.
  • Adapters
    • Active adapters are required for converting the DisplayPort connections to HDMI, DVI, or VGA display connections. Passive adapters are not supported.
    • Active DisplayPort to HDMI adapters should adhere to the HDMI 2.0 or later specification for full resolution and refresh rate capabilities.
  • Cables
    • Use DisplayPort 1.2 or later cables to ensure full resolution and refresh rate support.
    • Use a HDMI 2.0 or later cable when utilizing an active DisplayPort to HDMI adapter to ensure full resolution and refresh rate support.

Rating: 5/5 Excellent Product!! January 2, 2020 I was snookered by an Amazon item that purported to support dual HDMI monitors. While it did have two outputs, it was strictly in "mirrored" mode — the Mac saw only a single monitor.

The OWC product actually supports two independent monitors, and works well, as advertised.
