Customer Reviews
I am a 20-year plus satisfied OWC customer. Never had any issues or lemon products. Ever.
I would recommend this product to a friend!

I was excited by the prospect of speeding the performance of my aging Mac, and for a while this SSD worked as advertised. I was not running anything especially taxing and the drive was nowhere near full. Then one day it refused to mount. There was a corrupted file somewhere and the Disk Utility could not repair it. So, I had to spend a few days after work extracting data and rebuilding my desktop from scratch. Tech support was okay— they were polite and all—but I did not think they had anything to offer beyond what I could do on my own. Plus, I didn’t have time to mail them the drive. Instead, I’m going to return it. YMMV, but there are too many variables for me and it still seems as though this technology is not yet robust enough to trusted.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the SSD. It’s understandably frustrating to invest in something that promises to enhance your Mac's performance, only to face such issues shortly after. Data loss and the time spent recovering it can be incredibly stressful, especially when you’re trying to keep your workflow intact. While it’s good to know that our tech support was polite, it's disappointing that you didn’t find their assistance helpful during your situation. We strive to provide meaningful support, and your feedback will help us improve. If you haven't already, please consider reaching out to us again so we can further address your concerns and possibly explore options for replacement or repair. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we want to make this right.
I ordered three 4 TB SSD's, which are perfect for my storage needs in the music recording business. I use one for recording, the second one for backing up, and the third for a sample library, which includes orchestral libraries. So far, they seem to perform flawlessly.
I would recommend this product to a friend!
