    Great but too small if into HD video

    On these Solid State External drives. First if all, these drives are great in every regard. BUT..Check your computer. Having 2,3 or even 4 thunderbolt type connectors on your computer does not mean ANYTHING!. You must find out how many Thunderbolt BUSES you have. 1 bus usually handles 2 connectors. That means you will get full speed 1 connector at a time. Enough said. Now knowing that, I recommend getting 2 tb drives or bigger if you can afford. I bought 2 480gb drives in the beginning and they get filled up in a hurry . Yes, I am into HD video. Still...most computers have only 1 thunderbolt bus. Make good use of it.

    Just what I needed

    My 2011 Mac was at the end of life and my 2016 MacBook Pro has only a 500 GB hard drive, this Envoy Pro is very fast transferring Nikon RAW files.
