Very pricey, but it's working nicely. I misplaced the wire but I'm using an Apple 5k wire and it's working just fine. I think the 5k wire is better than the wire that was supplied. I will find the wire, but needless to say it's working well. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend that has money.

While the 1M2 is not as fast as a TB5 enclosure, reliability is a far higher priority that the 1M2 delivers on. Additionally the 1M2 does not utilize a fan which in the end is also a big plus. Until a TB5 enclosure similar to the 1M2 is forthcoming, the 1M2 is in my opinion the goto solution.
