The enclosure is solid, strong, and light weight. Very easy to open, securely install SSD of your choice, and close. Internal heat-dissipation pads already installed. Unit does not get hot during use reading and writing thousands of small database files. Initially experienced slow write speeds, but tech support quickly resolved issue through Windows 11 settings. I called once, received immediate attention, and within 5 minutes support technician increased my sequential write speed from 472 MB/s to 3000 MB/s, roughly equal to my sequential read speed. I wish I would have called support before wasting time searching various forums for a fix. OWC delivered a great product and excellent technical support. Well worth the money.

I'm setup with 3x 4TB drives for primary, backup, scratch and they are extremely fast. I'm even using a few TB5 hubs and not seeing a drop in their speed or stability.

As usual the ordering process was easy (although there was no post-order e-mail confirmation but that was worked out). The setup was easy and hassle-free. I set up the drive to be my home folder on MacOS and this worked flawlessly (by following instructions on YouTube @MacSoundSolution). So far it has worked very well and is fast as @#%$. This is not my first purchase from OWC but alas it may be my last for some time. I am Canadian and as you are aware the Trump tariffs will make buying tech from the US prohibitively expensive. Sorry about that but that's the way it is.
