Smart Sense
Power Saving Connection Sensor. A built-in sensor on the chipset detects when the solution's data cable is disconnected from a Mac or PC's native FireWire, USB, or eSATA interface and automatically spins down the solution to conserve energy during periods of disk inactivity. Ideal for notebook users who can go mobile without needing to reach around the solution to turn it off or unplug power cord.*
*This function is also available through an interface card, provided the card offers hot plug capability. LED and fan will remain on during disk inactivity. The comprehensive Mac utility used by professionals for accurate Mac diagnosis and maintenance.
