Also, we would have to agree that it does look pretty good on your desk. Thank you for sharing that photographs with us! Looks clean and sleek. We hope you continue to enjoy your new drive! We hope this reply finds you well and that you have a wonderful day!
Instructions (the words portion) for installing first drive were bass-ackwards. I twisted the drive around so that cables were oriented according to the written words, but the photo in the instructions indicated that I had the drive upside down. The sides of the enclosure are tight, so it was tricky getting the drive down past the ribbon cable that was wedged between the mounting brackets. Several tries later, I got the drive in without mangling and pinching the cables. Once the drive was installed, it was clear sailing. (My unit is set up as independent drives, not RAID). It works just fine, is relatively quiet. A week or so later, I ordered and received a second drive, which I was able to install without incident. Both drives work fine. The only negative is that daisy-chained FW enclosures downstream from this enclosure must all be turned ON for the FW bus to work in those units, whereas when I reverse-chained from those enclosures (both NewerTech units) to this, I did not have to turn those units on to have access to only this unit. Just something to be aware of when daisy-chaining FW units....
I would recommend this product to a friend!

Well I apologize for the difficulties installing the drive, glad to hear you were able to get it resolved, and thank you for the daisy-chaining tip as well!
Unable to get two large HD's (14TB) to stay on the desktop. Gave up and bought a second enclosure. One or the other hard drive would randomly dismount from desktop.
