Bought Nov. 2022. Install went well (good directions). Worked well until late June. The battery info "State of Health" 100% and "Condition" Good. However the battery was losing charge level quickly because it showed that the charge was only at 4.79% and dropping quickly to 0% every few minutes. Pulling the charging cable out of one port and putting it into another would start giving the battery a charge but only between 4 to 5% again. Thinking my charger must be at fault, I purchased a brand new charger. That did not solve the problem. I also found that my computer did not sit flatly anymore and the track pad was difficult to press on. That should have been my clue. Finally I opened the back panel and looking closely at the center battery pack, I notice the left side was "ballooned" and pressing on it I found it was soft. The battery itself was the problem. For some reason that is not detected by the battery app as an issue. Unfortunately for me, the warranty is only for one year. I would think that a new battery would last far longer than 17 months. Hopefully my luck will be better next time and this was just a quirk. I figure OWC selected to sell this product because they trust in it and I trust OWC. I'll be writing another review after I've had the new battery, I"m about to order, for at least 2 years.
