I've been an OWC customer for a while, and their products and especially their service is top notch. Even still I was hesitant to buy a used monitor, but my prior experience with OWC helped me to overcome that fear. I was not disappointed! The front of the monitor, glass, and edges are essentially perfect. The IPS panel image is perfect, no dead pixels, and no weird light bleed. A few light scuffs only on the back of the anodized aluminum, so the item description was very accurate in my opinion. The image quality is fantastic, the speakers actually sound pretty good, and the iSight camera works great - essentially looks and works like new.
These monitors have a permanent multi-cable pig tail coming out the back that provides a display port connection, a USB connection (for the speakers and iSight camera), and the magsafe (old version) magnetic power adapter for Apple laptops. I think you can use the thunderbolt inputs as well, but I didn't test that. The monitor came with a clean power cable and the pigtail multi-cable, both where clean (not dirty like I've seen on used mac cables).
I bought a new IPS panel from another brand and wasnt happy with the image at all due to the anti-glare coating. I couldn't find any gloss monitors for the life of me, then I found this. The image on this monitor blows away the image from a brand new modern spec monitor that I tried, so even though this is "old tech", this works fantastic and I couldn't be happier.
OWC packed and shipped this monitor very safely and quickly. I am very happy with this purchase
