The MG Series is ideal for enterprise storage array and industrial server and storage systems. It provides the capacity and advanced technologies to meet the special demands of datacenter and cloud-scale infrastructures.

With formatted storage capacities ranging from 1 TB to 18 TB the MG Series offers hard disk drive solutions for enterprise servers and storage systems with need for capacity.

INTEGRATED RV SENSORS

Regular hard disk drives can impact the performance of a multi-bay system by generating 'knock-on' vibration. The MG Series ensures high reliability by minimising vibration effects through their advanced control and sensing technology. Multiple sensors detect the slightest shock and built-in RV (Rotational Vibration) sensors compensate for any rotational vibration detected, eliminating the possibility of 'knock-on' vibration in multi-bay server systems.

KEEPING YOUR CRITICAL DATA SAFE

Your data is critical so don't risk it. Toshiba's advanced technologies have been developed to add security and assurance to the enterprise user. With Persistent Write Cache Technology your data is safe in the event of an interruption in power supply during a write to the hard disk. Data is saved in the large flash-based cache and written to the disk when power is restored.
  1. This HDD utilizes a new standardized mounting screw pattern that is not compatible with older Mac Pro models. In a Mac Pro tower, the drive can be installed in an empty optical drive bay using an OWC Hard Drive Tray for 2009/10/12 Mac Pro, an OWC Multi-Mount Bracket for 2009/10/12 Mac Pro, or an OWC Multi-Mount Bracket for 2006/07/08 Mac Pro.

    8TB SATA drive - Easy to install and just plain works!

    Took about 5 minutes to install into an enclosure I had. Easy to do -- watched the video first just to make sure I did it right. Was able to back up over 15 years of customer files from another Mercury Elite drive... I would recommend this to anyone!
