Customer Reviews
Not being a computer tech guy I was a bit intimidated by the prospect of replacing the hard drive in my Mid-2010 iMac - something I've never done before. This computer was rendered useless by drive-gone-bad. The online info at OWC was extensive but not overwhelming and I took a leap of faith and ordered up the kit. Everything arrived in good shape and after watching their online DIY video (very clear and concise - I didn't even mind the soft elevator music in the background; kind of relaxing) I watched it again, following it step-by-step and it worked! Now we've got a refurbished iMac (with 2 TB of memory no less) that had been ready for the electronic recycling drop-off. Pretty happy about it!
I would recommend this product to a friend!

The install is super straightforward and I would like to believe I will have good results except one little cable was missing from my kit and no one can seem to tell me they are sending it. Just a lot of back and forth emails and chats and requests for a photo of what’s missing. How do I go about showing that? Well I took a screenshot of the kit from my order and drew a huge arrow pointing to the item missing. So I’m giving this kit a poor rating because it was incomplete.
